Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work within the Occupational Therapy Team at Holywell Hospital as a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner.
Under the direction of Occupational Therapists, you will work with individuals with complex needs, promoting a person-centred approach to rehabilitation and contributing to discharge planning.
Welsh language skills are desirable for this post; applications from Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
The role is based on inpatient wards, delivering rehabilitation programmes as agreed with patients and Occupational Therapists. You will collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred interventions. Responsibilities include personal care, mobility and transfer practices, accompanying Occupational Therapists on home visits, and fitting/delivering equipment.
You must be adept at communicating both via phone and in person. Administrative tasks such as electronic documentation and equipment ordering are also part of the role, requiring computer proficiency.
This position is integral to the team and supports the delivery of Occupational Therapy services to patients in this setting.
