Job description

Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers in complex care. We proudly employ over 4000+ people - no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.

The Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Bristol provides high-quality inpatient neurological rehabilitation for individuals with complex brain injury and neurological conditions.

As the Level 1 Neurorehabilitation Service for the South West, we offer 52 beds across both intensive (Level 1) and slower stream (Level 2) rehabilitation pathways. We are proud to be run in partnership with North Bristol NHS Trust, combining clinical excellence with compassionate care.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join and support our Occupational Therapy team as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. This role involves supporting individuals with physical, cognitive, and communication difficulties to develop independence in activities of daily living. You will also assist with routine therapy-related and departmental tasks to ensure smooth delivery of our rehabilitation programmes.

On-the-job training will be provided, and you will be supported to develop within the role through regular supervision and appraisal. This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Neuropsychologists, Doctors, Nurses, Rehabilitation Technicians, and Rehabilitation Assistants.

We are interested in applicants who:

  • have a keen interest in Occupational Therapy, brain injury, and rehabilitation
  • are passionate about helping those with disabilities to maximize their potential
  • have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • work well in a team
  • are dynamic and enthusiastic

For an informal discussion, please call Jess Rubie-Todd (Deputy Lead OT) or Ally George (Deputy Lead OT) at 0117 9562697.

This advert will close once we have received a sufficient number of applications.

Please note: the unit works in partnership with North Bristol Trust, but the employment contract is with Active Care Group, not the NHS.
