Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in High Wycombe is seeking an Assistant Therapy Practitioner in Occupational Therapy. The role is NHS AfC Band 4, permanent, full-time—37.5 hours per week.

The post holder will deliver occupationally based therapeutic activity interventions and support the day-to-day work of the OT team, focusing on adults with learning disabilities across Buckinghamshire.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Occupational Therapy role within a setting.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated packages.
• A Levels and/or Health and Social Care NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• Degree in relevant subject.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate occupationally based groups guided by an Occupational Therapist.
• Work individually with service users on specific tasks and therapeutic activity guided by an Occupational Therapist.
• Carry out specific Occupational Therapy assessments as guided by an Occupational Therapist.
• Promote a culture of engagement in meaningful occupation within the service to enhance quality of life.
• Provide interventions in line with Trust standards and values.
• Maintain clinical records using the electronic patient record system.
• Liaise with carers and other professionals as relevant.
• Attend mandatory training and complete development activities.
