A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the OT Duty Team at Haringey Council. Your role will involve supporting residents to promote independence through equipment and adaptations. Strong communication skills and confidence with IT systems are required. Qualifications

  • Experience assisting individuals in a healthcare or social care setting preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence is preferable but not essential.

Overview

Occupational Therapy Assistant – Duty Team
Location: Haringey Council
Pay: £23.71 per hour

Pertemps is recruiting an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the OT Duty Team at Haringey Council.

In this role, you will:

  • Contact and assess residents waiting for triage, OT assessments, or equipment to make their homes more accessible.
  • Work with families of children, older people, and adults with disabilities or long-term health conditions to promote independence through equipment and adaptations.
  • Carry out home visits and assessments, providing excellent customer care at all times.
  • Collect, deliver, install, and demonstrate safe use of small equipment items (e.g. bath boards, toilet frames, commodes) from a local Haringey store.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence with IT systems and processes.
  • Excellent customer service and the ability to work empathetically with residents.
  • A full UK driving licence is preferable, but not essential (taxi expenses can be claimed for equipment delivery).
