Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist to join our Emergency Department and Urgent Care Therapy team.

Role Overview

You will take a lead role in the advanced assessment of patients, who may have complex and/or chronic presentations, to determine suitable therapy treatment and facilitate timely discharge planning. The post holder will support junior staff members and students, actively participating in service developments.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate the delivery of therapy services within your specific clinical area and the wider department.
  2. Provide a 7-day service with extended hours and shift patterns.
  3. Lead in advanced patient assessments and discharge planning.
  4. Support and supervise junior staff and students.
