We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist (part-time) to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A Prison located in Thameside, London.
HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison that has a capacity for 910 inmates. Healthcare at HMP Belmarsh includes Dentists, Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance abuse, and Pharmacy.

18.75-2 days

Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £53,172 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As an Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
  • Assess, plan, and deliver care and therapeutic interventions to patients with complex and/or unstable health care needs.
  • Review care and therapy interventions
  • Establish communication networks with other team members, patients, and other health and social care agencies, attending joint visits with other professionals as required.

We are looking for caring, compassionate but also driven professionals who can help us drive our vision for fair and inclusive healthcare access to all.
  • Diploma/degree in occupational therapy with current professional qualification (HCPC)
  • Post registration experience and evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards

Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
