Senior Occupational Therapist Mental Health Inpatient Services (Birmingham B20)

Full time or Part time | Permanent | Salary from £36,500 - £45,000 (DOE)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected mental health care provider in Birmingham for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join one of their long-term complex care inpatient services.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic OT with a passion for supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses. The role is based at a 16-bed male inpatient unit and offers the chance to work within a multidisciplinary team focused on recovery and meaningful occupation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver a range of occupational therapy assessments and interventions, including MOHOST and other tools based on service-user needs.
  2. Lead and coordinate therapeutic programmes, including group and individual sessions.
  3. Provide supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs).
  4. Collaborate closely with the wider clinical team under the guidance of the Head of Therapies.
Ideal Candidate:
  1. HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
  2. Experience in mental health inpatient settings
  3. Strong understanding of recovery-focused care
  4. Confident in leading therapeutic programmes and supervising junior staff
