Job summary

East Sussex County Council is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our expanding Joint Community Rehabilitation Service in the Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford area. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support adults in their homes, assess functional needs and tailor treatment plans to help people regain independence and live safely at home.

You will need HCPC registration, strong communication, and the ability to plan a varied workload and work under pressure.

Do you want to help people get back to being independent following a period of illness or injury? If you are a qualified Occupational Therapist, then this could be the role you are looking for.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our expanding and developing therapy service in the Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford area.

As an Occupational Therapist within JCR you will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support adults within their homes. You will assess the adults’ current function/needs and create and implement a tailored treatment plan to enable the adult to regenerate independence and continue to live safely at home.

Joint Community Rehabilitation Service (JCR) is an integrated countywide domiciliary service delivered by Adult Social Care (ASC) and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT). We have recently been Highly Commended at the Great British Care Awards.

This is a rewarding role that allows you to see first hand the positive impact working as part of the Therapy Team has in promoting independence, and maximising health and wellbeing in the persons own home.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Are qualified Occupational Therapists with an HCPC registration.
• Have effective communication skills.
• Have the ability to work well within a team.
• Have the ability to plan and organise a varied workload.
• Have experience operating under pressure where demand is constant and priorities need to be set/reviewed.
• Can demonstrate how they will meet the travel requirements of the role.
