Norfolk County Council is recruiting a full-time Occupational Therapist to join the Integrated Housing Adaptation Team (IHAT) in Norwich. The role focuses on assessments for Disabled Facilities Grants and delivering home adaptations to maximise safety and independence.

Based at City Hall with some home working, the post offers a £2000 welcome payment for qualified OTs and a clear career development path, including a preceptorship programme for new entrants to Social Care.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in housing and adaptations is desirable.
• Knowledge of housing grants guidance is desirable.
• Preceptorship programme available for newly qualified OTs.

Responsabilités

• Carry out mobility and functional assessments for adults and some children.
• Determine eligibility for Disabled Facilities Grants and recommend adaptations.
• Work closely with IHAT colleagues to complete adaptations and maximise safety.
• Provide training and support from senior OTs in the team.
