Job summary

Athona Ltd in Sheffield is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join the CYP Neurodevelopment / Sensory Integration service. You will conduct neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people, support autism assessment pathways, and develop collaborative care plans with families and professionals.

The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary up to £56,000 FTE, and a chance to shape developing CYP services within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience within CYP services.
• Experience or strong interest in sensory integration.
• Experience within neurodevelopmental services is desirable.
• ADOS-2 experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Complete neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people.
• Support autism assessment pathways within a multidisciplinary team.
• Assess sensory needs and provide appropriate therapeutic recommendations.
• Develop collaborative care plans with children, families and professionals.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary discussions and clinical decision-making.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions and recommendations.
• Support the ongoing development of CYP services and clinical pathways.

Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join a growing multidisciplinary service supporting children, young people and their families across Sheffield.

Salary: Up to £56,000 FTE
Position: Occupational Therapist
Hours: Full-time, with flexible working available
Setting: CYP Neurodevelopment / Sensory Integration Service
Location: Sheffield (Hybrid)

Your key responsibilities will be;

• Complete neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people.
• Support autism assessment pathways within a multidisciplinary team.
• Assess sensory needs and provide appropriate therapeutic recommendations.
• Develop collaborative care plans with children, families and professionals.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary discussions and clinical decision-making.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions and recommendations.
• Support the ongoing development of CYP services and clinical pathways.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Previous Occupational Therapy experience within CYP services.
• Experience or strong interest in sensory integration.
• Experience within neurodevelopmental services is desirable.
• ADOS-2 experience would be advantageous.
