East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Mental Health Occupational Therapist to support Community Mental Health transformation in Newham. This 22.5 hour post is a secondment or fixed-term for 9 months, with flexible site-based duties across Newham and travel within the borough.

We are seeking a creative, adaptable and innovative Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our service within Community Mental Health transformation in Newham. This role is based in our Community Integrated Mental Health Services (CIMHS). This is offered at 22.5 hours part time on a secondment or fix term contract for 9 months.
The ideal candidate will have a real interest in transforming community mental health services, passionate about exploring new ways of working, beyond traditional models. It is imperative to have a "working alongside" and not a "doing to" mentality. In addition to direct clinical work, you will be committed to working with communities, recognizing strengths and capacities, in partnership with our community leaders, statutory and non-statutory organisations across the diverse population of Newham.
You will also be part of the wider Occupational Therapy service and have support from other Lead Practitioners and have close working with the MDT including Peer Support Workers and Community Connectors.
This role demands flexible working across community sites in Newham and the ability to travel across the borough.
Interviews will be in person and include a presentation and/or discussion.
