A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Children's Intensive Support Team in Coventry. The ideal candidate will provide specialized assessments for children with autism and collaborate with various stakeholders. Strong knowledge of autism and a relevant degree in Occupational Therapy are essential for this role. To provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to children with autism. To work with families, schools, social care and other relevant professionals. To work in collaboration with community and inpatient mental health services to prevent admission to tier 4 inpatient services. To be an autonomous practitioner, holding a clinical caseload and working without direct supervision. To deliver tailored occupational therapy assessments such as functional and sensory assessments. To provide expert advice, signposting, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, clients, carers, relatives or other non-professional contacts.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Children's Intensive Support Team. We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic OT with working knowledge of people with autism and learning disabilities, including challenging behaviour and sensory processing issues. The service uses the Model of Human Occupation as a clinical model and an understanding of the model and standardised assessments used would be an advantage. The post holder will hold a complex caseload and be expected to work flexibly.
