Job summary

NHS Shetland in Gilbert Bain Hospital is seeking a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Services team on a fixed-term, full-time basis (36 hours per week). The role sits within a hospital-based multidisciplinary team and offers a salary range of £34,544–£43,039 per annum, plus a Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 and relocation assistance up to £8,000.

Fixed-term until 31 March 2027 with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Must have valid HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a hospital multidisciplinary team in Acute Services.
• Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention in a general ward setting.
• Contribute to care planning and discharge arrangements.
