Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for a short-term contract in the Western Isles Hospital, Stornoway. You will work on stroke and neuro cases, delivering high-quality OT services, and conducting domiciliary visits across the Western Isles.

The role requires HCPC registration, PVG, UK practice in OT, and a driving licence. An NHS environment experience and the ability to manage varied caseloads are essential.

Position Information:

We are searching for an Occupational Therapist with solid experience at Band 6 level or above in the NHS. A valid driving licence is essential to conduct domiciliary visits, ensuring the best care for patients in both outpatient and some inpatient settings. The position also encompasses developing expertise in treating rheumatology, hand conditions with splinting, and neurological issues.

What you will do:

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services independently in a mix of outpatient and some inpatient settings
• Conduct domiciliary visits around the Western Isles, possibly extending to the Southern Isles clinic
• Promote recovery through expertise in stroke, neuro, rheumatology, and hand conditions
• Collaborate with a supportive and integrated Occupational Therapy team across both hospital and community services
• Contribute towards excellent patient care through innovative treatments and interactive therapy sessions

Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:

• HCPC registration and valid PVG required
• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy, with recent UK practice as an Occupational Therapist
• Significant NHS experience and proficiency in managing varied caseloads
