Overview of site/Ward:

Hooper Ward is Cygnet Hospital Beckton’s 13 bed acute mental health service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

The ethos of this service is about assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass OT assessments, treatment and management of individuals/interventions and support for individuals within the service. In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to an individual’s identified needs.
