Job summary

Leonard Cheshire’s Assistive Technology team is seeking a capable technologist to help people live independently by assessing needs and implementing assistive technologies. Based at the South East Regional AT Hub in Bromley, you will collaborate with care teams, local authorities, and NHS professionals to tailor TEC solutions.

You will deliver training, review technologies as needs evolve, and travel across the UK to support services from Bromley to Hitchin and beyond.

Qualifications

• Experience in Technology Enabled Care (TEC), Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy or a similar specialist support environment.
• Ability to assess individual needs and identify appropriate technology solutions.
• Experience in delivering home automation/environmental Assistive technologies is essential
• Strong knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
• Experience with access methods, mounting solutions and sensory equipment.
• Experience delivering training to end users and support teams.
• Excellent communication and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK.

Location: Ideally based in the South East - travel is required to Leonard Cheshire Services from Bromley up to Hitchin.

At Leonard Cheshire, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to live as independently as possible. As part of our Assistive Technology (AT) team you'll be helping people improve their independence, communication and quality of life through innovative assistive technology solutions.

What You'll Do

Based out of our new South East Regional Assistive Technology Hub at our St Cecelia's service in Bromley, you'll work closely with individuals, families, care teams, local authorities, and NHS professionals. You'll assess needs, recommend and implement assistive technology solutions, and provide training and ongoing support. You'll regularly review and adapt technologies to ensure they continue to meet changing needs and help individuals achieve their goals.
