Job Description:

Working as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting strengths-based occupational therapy assessments, reviewing cases for individuals receiving occupational therapy equipment and domiciliary care.

Responsibilities include:

• Working within relevant legislative frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Providing comprehensive assessments and interventions, including advice, retraining, and recommendations for environmental adaptations.
• Managing risks related to the use of specialist equipment at home.
• Collaborating with service users, carers, and professionals.
• Offering information, advice, or signposting to universal services.
• Recognizing vulnerable individuals and ensuring they receive appropriate support.
• Promoting activities that enhance health and wellbeing.

Requirements:

• Accredited Trusted Assessor Qualification.
• Experience in OT assessments and using monitoring systems.
• Support and promote independence through strength-based practices.
• Proficiency with IT systems for case management.
• Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and related legislation.
• Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the update service).

• Duration: 3-6 months initially
• Hours: 9-5, hybrid working
