The position involves working Monday to Friday, 9-5, with a Pro Rata salary for part-time hours.
We seek a creative, experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist confident in core skills to join the multidisciplinary community team for Alcohol & Drugs Recovery Services in Inverclyde. The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative clinical style. Responsibilities include applying specialist occupational therapy knowledge in a recovery approach for clients with alcohol or drug dependency, promoting self-management techniques, functional assessments, structuring daily routines, vocational rehabilitation, and facilitating access to leisure, education, and employment through individual and group interventions. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with other professions within the integrated health and social care ADRS, across inpatient/day services, and partner agencies.
During induction, there will be opportunities to spend time with OT colleagues in Glasgow Addiction services. Engagement with the OT in Addictions Specialist Interest Group is encouraged. The post includes professional support and supervision from the Lead Occupational Therapist, access to training, and protected CPD time.
