Occupational Therapist – Adults, Health & Integration
Merseyside | £36 per hour | Flexible Locum Opportunity

Are you an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist ready to make a meaningful difference in adults' lives? We’re seeking a dynamic OT to join a fast-paced, high-performing Adults, Health & Integration service in Merseyside.You’ll work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering life-changing interventions through assessments for complex equipment, major adaptations, and moving & handling risk evaluations. This is a rewarding opportunity to apply your expertise in a role where your work has a direct impact on improving independence, dignity, and quality of life for service users.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Conduct strengths-based assessments in line with the Care Act 2014
  • Work in partnership with adults and carers to ensure needs are understood and met
  • Recommend, demonstrate, and coordinate the provision of equipment and home adaptations
  • Collaborate with health professionals, voluntary organisations, and community resources
  • Manage a varied and demanding caseload, balancing professional judgement with council policy
  • Take ownership of your professional development and CPD in line with Allied Health Professions Council standards

What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will bring compassion, critical thinking, and a passion for practical problem-solving. You must have:
  • A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration and 2+ years post-qualification experience
  • Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, including disability rights and the Care Act
  • Experience in major adaptations, moving and handling, or complex needs (including paediatrics)
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential car user allowance payable)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Confidence conducting home visits and assessing environmental risks
