Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to make a positive impact in the community? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Adult Social Care Service as an Occupational Therapist, working within the Central Locality Team.
About The Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments and interventions to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to achieve greater independence and enhance their quality of life. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to our service users.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Conducting thorough assessments of occupational needs and identifying appropriate interventions
- Providing advice, guidance, and support to service users and their families
- Collaborating with other professionals to ensure holistic care delivery
- Monitoring and reviewing progress, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans
- Contributing to the overall development and improvement of the service
About YouThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
- Experience working in a similar role within a social care setting
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices
- Excellent assessment and intervention skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to prioritise and manage a diverse caseload
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion
