Job summary

Care Concern Group in Worcester is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide specialist OT input for adults with complex neurological conditions. You will assess residents, contribute to personalised rehabilitation, and work within a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and wellbeing.

You will monitor progress, keep precise clinical records, and liaise with equipment and wheel chair services.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience in neurological settings preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration within MDT.
• Commitment to client-centred care and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assess adults with complex neurological conditions and injuries to identify needs, abilities, risks and required support.
• Contribute to personalised rehabilitation and care plans.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate clinical records; provide reports for case reviews.
• liaise with external organisations for equipment, wheelchair services and safety of use.
• Support residents to engage in meaningful activities and develop personal, social and leisure skills; work with families and carers with information and empathy.

Job description

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide specialist occupational therapy to adults living with complex neurological conditions and injuries, supporting their independence, wellbeing and ability to participate in everyday life. Working alongside the Therapy Lead and wider multidisciplinary team, you will assess residents' physical and psychological needs and identify their functional abilities, risks and level of support required. You will complete assessments of daily living skills and contribute to personalised rehabilitation and care plans. You will monitor progress, maintain accurate clinical records and provide reports to support case reviews. You will also contribute to the provision of appropriate equipment and liaise with external organisations where required, including equipment and wheelchair services, ensuring equipment is suitable, maintained and safe to use. You will support residents to develop personal, social and leisure skills, helping them participate in meaningful activities and achieve their individual goals. You will also work closely with families and carers, providing information, advice and support with empathy and professionalism.

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration
• At least 2 years' experience working as an Occupational Therapist
• Previous experience working within a neurological setting

  £34,000 - £37,00 per annum depending on experience
• 40 hours per week
