Job description

Permanent, Full-Time role, Monday to Friday (08:30am – 17:00pm), Annual salary: Starting from £35,500 (dependent on experience)To Start: January 2027We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who has additional training in Sensory Integration and a passion for supporting children who need a total communication approach, to learn and ‘blossom’ in spite of their sensory, emotional and communication difficulties.Our student’s primary educational needs are their speech, language and communication difficulties. Therapy and teaching are integrated throughout the school week for all students following a transdisciplinary model. You will work closely with the teaching and support staff, as well as with our OT department, physiotherapist, specialist SPLD teachers, and Art Therapists on a daily basis. Closing Date: Friday 6th November 2026

The ideal candidate will have:

• Additional training in Sensory Integration.
• Experience in a paediatric setting.
• Supporting our students can sometimes be challenging, mental and physical resilience are qualities necessary for all our staff.
• Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning.
• An ability to work closely with Therapists from other disciplines in order to integrate SLT goals into the educational setting.
• The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers.
• Knowledge of clinical assessment, treatment planning and implementing, preferably paediatric, therapy programmes.
• An independent approach and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of standardised assessment and clinical observation.
• The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential.

£58,133 - £65,261 Per annum inclusive of HCAS

£31,554 - £33,270 Per annum pro rata inclusive of HCAS (inner London)
