NHS Scotland seeks a highly motivated Occupational Therapist for the rehabilitation team at Nairn Town and County Hospital. The role involves patient assessments, discharge planning, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team. We are a small and friendly team who are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team within Nairn Town and County Hospital.
Applications are invited from Occupational Therapists who have expertise in comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning within the rehabilitation setting. You may have completed a rotational foundation or you may be a new graduate.
You will be expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide a comprehensive service including treatment, appropriate management, onward referral and discharge to a diverse range of patients within the ward environment or the community setting.
You will have full support from senior Occupational Therapy staff and will work both independently and alongside a wider multidisciplinary team. In addition you will provide mentor support for band four and three assistant practitioner staff.
The department offers ring fenced professional development time and access to wider organisational training programmes which you will both attend and participate in.
The allied health team also provides physiotherapy inpatient rehabilitation, community outreach, MSK out patients, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and falls rehabilitation.
