Job description

MEAP are currently out to advert for a paediatric OT who is experienced in the provision of specialist equipment and major/minor adaptations and who ideally has knowledge and skills to carry out safety assessments for our disabled children across the city.

We Welcome applications from physiotherapists to pick up seating referrals

MEAP is an extremely busy service and assess both children and adults city wide and who have complex physical and hidden disabilities. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, empathetic, has excellent communication skills and is used to managing a case load. You will complete holistic assessments to identify the most appropriate bespoke equipment, major adaptations and moving and handling equipment for the citizen. You will be allocated cases on a monthly basis and work closely with children’s services, and colleagues in health/hospitals

You will live the Manchester values, and provide succinct and comprehensive reports and have excellent IT skills, be able to drive city wide and be flexible with your time as some visits will be before/after school

Candidates must have paediatric experience and experience of working with children with hidden disabilities and home safety assessments.

Average of 8 cases per month over 3 months
