Your Role
Position: Newly Qualified Occupational Therapist
Full-time, 5 days per week, salary £32,883 (up to £35,465 upon completing preceptorship)
Service Line: Mental Health Adults (High-Dependency Rehabilitation for Men)
Site Overview: Cygnet Hospital Maidstone is a state-of-the-art, 63-bed mental health facility for adults located in the Kent Medical Campus, Maidstone.
The hospital is purpose-built to meet the latest standards for mental health care and serves the local community in Kent.
It comprises four specialized wards:
The services are developed to meet regional NHS needs, ensuring treatment close to patients' homes and families.
Ward Focus: Kingswood Ward
This 16-bed high dependency inpatient rehabilitation ward for men is designed to promote recovery and community reintegration in a therapeutic environment.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will conduct assessments, deliver treatments, and manage patient care, focusing on community living skills and functional recovery.
Team: You will work with a multidisciplinary team including a consultant psychiatrist, specialty doctor, psychotherapist, assistant psychologist, social worker, mental health nurses, and healthcare assistants.

Occupational Therapy Directorate
