The post offers a 12-month Preceptorship Training Programme led by a multi-professional team to develop clinical expertise, leadership, and quality improvement skills.
Rotations cover Rheumatology, Upper Limb, Orthopaedics, Stroke Rehab, and community services across three sites, with 7-day service requirements.

You will bring the drive to develop yourself, your colleagues and your service in this post. Newly qualified Therapists will also benefit from undertaking the Trusts' Preceptorship Training Programme which covers skills across both Nursing and AHP's.
This 12 month Preceptorship Programme is an innovative programme, led by a multi-professional team of educators with a proven ability to be able to coach and mentor. Utilising your Preceptorship portfolio and by attending the programme, you can enhance your clinical expertise, master complex concepts, sharpen your critical thinking ability, promote career advancements and develop your leadership potential. In addition, your programme will provide you with further skills including quality improvement, resilience and mindfulness.
There will be a requirement to work across a 7 day service within the rotations, across various sites.
We would welcome OT students due to qualify to apply as well as candidates who wish to join the bank as a B5 OT.
To assess and treat patients referred to the team, with both direct/indirect supervision and guidance from Senior Therapists.
To participate in the Staff rotational scheme which involves, in a range of Ward settings and Outpatient departments across three sites. Rotations currently include the following: Rheumatology, Upper Limb, Elective Orthopaedics, Stroke Rehab, Reablement, Complex Rehab, Gerontology acute and sub acute inpatients, Medicine, Surgery, Critical Care, Palliative care, Major Trauma, Orthopaedics, Accident and Emergency, Vascular, ICB, Acute Stroke and Early Support Discharge for Stroke in the community.
To assist Senior staff in the organisation of work within a clinical area and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants, Work Experience Students and Healthcare Cadets.
