A major regional healthcare provider in the UK seeks newly qualified Therapists for a 12-month Preceptorship Programme. This role entails assessing and treating patients while participating in a comprehensive Staff Rotational Scheme across various sites. Candidates will benefit from mentoring, skills development, and exposure to a multi-disciplinary environment. Commitment to a 7-day service is required.
You will bring the drive to develop yourself, your colleagues, and your service in this post. Newly qualified Therapists will also benefit from undertaking the Trust's Preceptorship Training Programme, which covers skills across both Nursing and Allied Health Professions (AHPs).
This 12-month Preceptorship Programme is an innovative initiative led by a multi-professional team of educators with proven coaching and mentoring abilities. Through your Preceptorship portfolio and participation in the programme, you can enhance your clinical expertise, master complex concepts, sharpen your critical thinking skills, promote career advancement, and develop your leadership potential. The programme will also equip you with additional skills including quality improvement, resilience, and mindfulness.
There is a requirement to work across a 7-day service within various rotations across multiple sites. You will assess and treat patients referred to the team, with supervision and guidance from Senior Therapists.
You will participate in the Staff Rotational Scheme, which involves working in a range of ward settings and outpatient departments across three sites. Current rotations include Rheumatology, Upper Limb, Elective Orthopaedics, Stroke Rehabilitation, Reablement, Complex Rehabilitation, Gerontology (acute and sub-acute inpatient), Medicine, Surgery, Critical Care, Palliative Care, Major Trauma, Orthopaedics, Accident and Emergency, Vascular, Integrated Care Board (ICB), Acute Stroke, and Early Support Discharge for Stroke in the community.
You will assist senior staff in organizing work within clinical areas and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants, Work Experience Students, and Healthcare Cadets.
