Job summary

St Dominic’s School is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team and support pupils with complex needs on a full-time, term-time only basis. You will deliver occupational therapy across the waking day curriculum, contribute to student outcomes, and work within a specialist education setting in Surrey.

The role requires HCPC registration, membership of the College of Occupational Therapists, and post-graduate Sensory Integration training.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with current license.
• Postgraduate Sensory Integration Levels 1 & 2.
• Experience with ASD and SLCN challenging behaviours.
• Knowledge of standardised and functional assessment tools.

• To be accountable as a member of a multi-disciplinary team for pupil outcomes.

Job description

Salary: Actual £28,769.10 - £50,219.20 (Benchmarked to NHS Band 5 scale point 19 - NHS band 7 scale point 36), depending on experience.

Location: St Dominic’s School, Hambledon, GU8 4DX

Working Pattern: Full time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term time only

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent with licence to practice

• Understanding of wide range of physical, perceptual and sensory difficulties associated with ASD, SLCN and associated behaviours
• Knowledge of a range of standardised and functional assessment tools relevant to client group
