Job summary

Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital in Coventry is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver direct clinical care with person-centred assessment and interventions within a multidisciplinary team. You will work autonomously, supervise others, and lead on specific projects while receiving comprehensive induction and supervision.

You will develop OT treatment plans from assessments and team formulations, and contribute to training, modelling and coaching to raise care standards across the service.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass person-centred OT assessment and interventions, as well as work in an integrated way with the support team and wider multidisciplinary team, to assist the service in providing outcome based care and support pathways. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will work as an autonomous clinician. You will hold supervisory responsibility for others, and take a leadership role in specific projects. This role includes opportunities for learning, development and research. You will have a thorough induction and support from experienced OT colleagues, and will regularly meet with the Head Occupational Therapist for support and supervision as required. In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to individuals diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments and team formulation in order to develop treatment plans & care and support plans. You will also empower staff to improve the quality of care through training, modelling and coaching., Helping others improve and turn their lives around theres no better feeling. The service supports adults across three wards to move as quickly and safely as possible to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them. The hospital c urrently includes two male PICU wards and one male Acute ward. In addition, the hospital has a fourth ward consisting of an 8 bedded male high dependency rehabilitation unit. The service is designed to provide an environment that promotes mental health recovery by focusing on space, personal privacy and dignity. You will need a willingness to learn new skills and the passion to work with patients with complex needs.

Hours:Part Time, 34 Hours (Contracted hours are flexible and will be determined based on the successful candidates experience)
