Momenta Connect is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support children and young people in school and community settings. The role emphasizes developing clinical skills within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

You will work primarily in school-based settings with some clinic-based and remote opportunities, balancing assessment, intervention and collaboration to help children achieve daily-life goals. The role offers flexible 37.5-hour weeks and a permanent contract.

Responsibilities

• Assess children and young people’s developmental and learning needs, including EHCP-linked needs.

• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings.

Looking to change into paediatric occupational therapy? At Momenta Connect, we offer an introduction to paediatrics program that supports with specific teaching and professional development goals within the skill areas required to work in Paediatric Occupational Therapy. We focus on upskilling in education and clinical settings, providing tailored training sessions in specific learning areas such as fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, handwriting, paediatric assessments such as Movement ABC, BOT, Beery VMI, and many more! At the end of your first year, you will have the tools to be an independent paediatric practitioner within school and/ or clinical settings with clinical supervision support along the way to further support your clinical and professional development.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Croydon, London

Salary: Up to £50,000 FTE, dependent on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working across 5 days (Monday to Friday)

Contract: Permanent, with 52-week, summer contract and part-time options available. The summer contract offers five weeks off during the summer break plus 22 days’ annual leave.

About the role

You’ll work mainly in school settings, with some clinic-based and remote opportunities where appropriate. As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll help unlock children and young people’s potential by assessing EHCP-related needs, delivering specialist interventions and supporting therapy goals to become part of everyday life.

In this role, you’ll:

• Assess children and young people’s developmental and learning needs, including those linked to Education, Health and Care Plans.
• Develop, deliver and review individualised occupational therapy intervention plans.
• Work with parents, carers, teaching teams and multi-disciplinary colleagues to embed therapy goals into daily life.
• Equip key adults with practical strategies, evaluate impact, maintain accurate documentation and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings.

It’s a varied role where you’ll balance assessment, intervention, consultation and collaboration, while making a visible difference to children, families and school teams every day.

What you’ll need

• HCPC and RCOT registration
• Undergraduate or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

It would be great if you also bring

• Paediatric occupational therapy experience, ideally in school-based or specialist settings
• Experience completing assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans
• Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH, complex or developmental needs
• Specialist CPD, trauma-informed practice or other relevant training
