Job Description:
West Midlands (Hybrid)
Forsyth Barnes are proud to be working in partnership with a leading national utilities provider as they continue to play a vital role in delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable energy to homes and businesses across the UK.
As part of their ongoing commitment to workforce wellbeing and safety, they are seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Wellbeing Specialist to join their team in the West Midlands on a hybrid working basis.
About the Role:
- This is a pivotal opportunity to shape and lead a proactive wellbeing strategy within a complex and diverse organisation. You’ll act as the primary expert on health and wellbeing matters, overseeing the design and execution of programmes that support the physical and mental health of employees.
- You’ll identify areas of potential health risk, championing evidence-based interventions aligned with industry standards and legislative frameworks. In this strategic role, you’ll set the direction for internal wellbeing initiatives, creating and maintaining policies that not only meet compliance but actively enhance employee experience.
- Collaboration is at the heart of this position — you’ll engage with internal stakeholders, external health partners, and mental health charities to deliver impactful outcomes. Your insights will shape future wellbeing priorities through performance tracking and trend analysis.
- We’re looking for a dynamic and progressive thinker with a passion for evolving workplace wellbeing — particularly in the areas of stress management and mental health. If you're ready to make a real difference in a forward-thinking environment, this could be the role for you.
Key Requirements:
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or equivalent H&S qualification
- A relevant professional background (e.g., Psychology, Behavioural Science)
- Strong experience delivering mental health and wellbeing initiatives in a complex or large-scale organisation
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
- Innovative mindset with a proven ability to create and drive positive cultural change
- Organised, self-motivated, and resilient
- Valid UK driving licence
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
- Further qualifications in Occupational or Organisational Psychology
- Working knowledge of HSE Management Standards
What’s on Offer:
- Performance-based bonus (up to 6%)
- 26 days annual leave + bank holidays, with the option to purchase more
- Highly competitive pension scheme with generous employer contributions
- A flexible benefits platform covering health, tech, and lifestyle perks
- Strong support for professional development and memberships
- Excellent family-friendly policies and EAP access
