Job Description:

I am looking for an Occupational Health Technician to join my client's expanding peripatetic team. The successful applicant will be required to travel throughout the UK, driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites to deliver health surveillance services, based in Northampton. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, typically between 8 am and 6 pm. Initially, you will use your personal vehicle or a company hire car until a new company van is available. This role offers a supportive environment with a 4-week training and induction, plus ongoing mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake health surveillance screening (audiometry, lung function, baseline measurements)
  • Accurately record all medical information and pass to clinical staff
  • Maintain equipment in good condition
  • Support additional tasks such as health promotion activities
  • Support the wider occupational health team
Travel & Overnight Stays:

The role involves regular travel, including overnight stays. You must be able to park the MMU at or near your home and be comfortable with being away for about 3 weeks each month, returning home on weekends. Benefits include diary visibility 6 weeks in advance, £30 subsistence per night away, access to a Premier Inn booking account, a fuel card, and an extra day off for your birthday.

Salary:

£25,000 to £27,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
