Job description

Permanent, Part Time (22.5 hours per week over 3 days -preferably Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)

THE ROLE

We are looking for an Occupational Health Technician to join our in-house Occupational Health team, reporting to the Senior Occupational Health Advisor.

You will conduct health surveillance and fitness for role medicals (Hot work and Driver) as identified by risk assessment including undertaking Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision, Skin and night worker assessments. Responsibilities will also include pre-employment medicals including drug testing, health & wellbeing activities i.e. health promotion, toolbox talks or demonstrations.

In addition, you will maintain electronic OH data, providing statistics and will support the Senior Occupational Health Advisor in developing and improving operational processes. You will be based across 2 sites in St Helens and one in Ormskirk with occasional travel to 6 UK Branches.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You and your Skills

  • Previous Occupational health experience inc. health surveillance and/or fitness for work medical, but training will be provided if required
  • Hold full UK driving licence
  • Able to complete overnight stays and travel across the UK for occasional branch visits
  • Competent IT user
  • Be able to work autonomously with the support of the OH, HR and EHS teams
