Job summary

Latus Group is recruiting an Occupational Health Physician to join our expanding team in a role that blends peripatetic travel with home-based working across the UK. You will manage a varied caseload, conduct medicals and HAVS assessments, and provide expert occupational health advice to clients and employees.

We require GMC registration with a Diploma in Occupational Medicine (or higher), strong OH experience, and excellent communication and report-writing skills.

• Strong complex case management with evidence-based advice
• Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Clear written and verbal communication with reports and recommendations

• Self-motivated, organised, capable of autonomous workload management
• Commercially aware and client-focused in delivering high-quality Occupational Health services

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of management referrals and provide pragmatic OH advice
• Conduct Appointed Doctor medicals with training where needed
• Perform HAVS Tier 4 assessments with training if required
• Assess fitness for work and recommend reasonable adjustments
• Deliver health surveillance programmes for workplace hazards
• Provide expert OH advice to employees and employers
• Partner with clients to promote best practice in workplace health and wellbeing

We're now looking to recruit experienced Occupational Health Physicians (OHPs) to join our growing team. This role offers a blend of peripatetic travel and home-based working, and we welcome applications from OHPs across the UK. As a key member of our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service, you will play an integral role in delivering high-quality client support while contributing to the continued growth, development, and success of our services.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of management referrals, delivering pragmatic, evidence-based occupational health advice and recommendations
• Conducting Appointed Doctor medicals, with full training provided for those not already accredited.
• Completing HAVS Tier 4 assessments, with training available where required
• Assessing fitness for work, recommending reasonable adjustments and ensuring individuals can perform their roles safely and effectively
• Delivering health surveillance programmes to monitor and protect employees exposed to workplace hazards
• Providing expert advice to both employees and employers on occupational health, wellbeing and work-related health issues
• Partnering with clients to promote best practice in workplace health and wellbeing, supporting the prevention of illness, injury and absence

Key Requirements

• Valid GMC registration with a Diploma in Occupational Medicine (or higher Occupational Health qualification)
• Proven Occupational Health experience gained within public and/or private sector environments.
• Strong background in complex case management, providing balanced, evidence-based advice on health and work
• Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a sound understanding of appropriate treatment pathways and workplace health risks
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, practical reports and recommendations
• Strong relationship-building skills, able to establish credibility and trust with clients, managers and employees
• Self-motivated, confident and highly organised, with the ability to manage a varied workload and work autonomously
• Commercially aware and client-focused, committed to delivering a high-quality Occupational Health service.
