Latus Group is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Physician to join our growing team in a peripatetic role across the UK, including Liverpool and The Wirral. The position blends travel with home-based work and offers a competitive FTE salary.

Qualifications

• Valid GMC registration with a Diploma in Occupational Medicine.
• Experience in occupational health within public or private sectors.
• Strong case management and health/work risk assessment skills.
• Ability to produce clear, practical reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Autonomous with ability to manage diverse workload.
• Commercial awareness and CPD commitment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of management referrals with evidence-based advice.
• Conduct Appointed Doctor medicals with training provided where needed.
• Perform HAVS Tier 4 assessments with training available.
• Assess fitness for work and recommend reasonable adjustments.
• Deliver health surveillance programmes for exposed employees.
• Provide expert occupational health advice to employees and employers.
• Partner with clients to promote best practice in workplace health.

Occupational Health Physician |Liverpool/The Wirral |Peripatetic | 3-5 days |Perm |£90-120k FTE

We're now looking to recruit experienced Occupational Health Physicians (OHPs) to join our growing team. This role offers a blend of peripatetic travel and home-based working, and we welcome applications from OHPs across the UK. As a key member of our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service, you will play an integral role in delivering high-quality client support while contributing to the continued growth, development, and success of our services.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Managing a varied caseload of management referrals, delivering pragmatic, evidence-based occupational health advice and recommendations
• Conducting Appointed Doctor medicals, with full training provided for those not already accredited.
• Completing HAVS Tier 4 assessments, with training available where required
• Assessing fitness for work, recommending reasonable adjustments and ensuring individuals can perform their roles safely and effectively
• Delivering health surveillance programmes to monitor and protect employees exposed to workplace hazards
• Providing expert advice to both employees and employers on occupational health, wellbeing and work-related health issues
• Partnering with clients to promote best practice in workplace health and wellbeing, supporting the prevention of illness, injury and absence

Key Requirements

• Valid GMC registration with a Diploma in Occupational Medicine (or higher Occupational Health qualification)
• Proven Occupational Health experience gained within public and/or private sector environments.
• Strong background in complex case management, providing balanced, evidence-based advice on health and work
• Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a sound understanding of appropriate treatment pathways and workplace health risks
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, practical reports and recommendations
• Strong relationship-building skills, able to establish credibility and trust with clients, managers and employees
• Self-motivated, confident and highly organised, with the ability to manage a varied workload and work autonomously
• Commercially aware and client-focused, committed to delivering a high-quality Occupational Health service.
