Job summary

Latus Group is seeking an Occupational Health Physician for a predominantly peripatetic role across the UK, with a home-based element. The post holder will contribute to the OH service and help develop client provision as part of a growing team.

The role requires GMC registration and a Diploma in Occupational Health, with experience in case management and clinical assessment. Strong communication and organisation are essential. Travel across sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Must hold GMC Registration.
• Diploma in Occupational Health required.
• Experience working in Occupational Health in public and private sectors.
• Experience handling complex case management and health-related advisory work.
• Strong clinical diagnostic skills and up-to-date treatment knowledge.
• Excellent communication and people skills; capable of relationship-building.
• Well-organised and confident in daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Complete case management.
• Appointed Doctor medicals (training provided if not already appointed).
• HAVS Tier 4 assessments (training provided if needed).
• Assess fitness for tasks and recommend adjustments for safe, effective work.
• Monitor health of workers exposed to hazards via surveillance programmes.
• Advise employees and employers on work-related health issues.
• Collaborate with employers to promote best practice for physical and mental health in the workplace.

Job title: Occupational Health Physician

Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 FTE (pro rata should few days be used)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week - Minimum of 3 days per week

Location: This is a peripatetic role based in Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire

The Role

• The role would be a mixture of peripatetic travel and home based work. We would welcome applications from experienced OHP's across the UK.
• The post holder will contribute to our Occupational Health and Well-being Service and play a key role in the ongoing development of our company and service provision for clients.

General Responsibilities

• Completing case management
• Appointed Doctor medicals (training will be provided if not already appointed)
• HAVS Tier 4 assessments (training will be provided if required)
• Assess the fitness of workers for specific tasks, ensuring a satisfactory fit between person and job, recommending suitable adjustments to enable a person to undertake the work they have been selected to perform safely and effectively, considering any health issues or disabilities they may have.
• Monitor the health of workers who are potentially exposed to hazards at work through health surveillance programmes.
• Advise employees and employers regarding work-related health issues.
• Work with employers to promote best practice in physical and mental health in the workplace to help prevent sick leave.

Skills & Experience Required

• Hold a valid GMC Registration.
• Must be at least a diploma holder in Occupational Health.
• Experience working within an Occupational Health role in public and private sectors.
• Experience dealing with complex case management and providing advice in relation to work on health and health on work.
• Possess good clinical diagnostic skills and understand the appropriate treatment practices.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Have good people skills and the ability to build relationships with our clients and their employees.
• Be self-confident and well organised in their daily workings.
