In the role of Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for carrying out a full range of nursing activities including the delivery and management of:
- Immunisation Programmes
- Health Screening and Surveillance
- New starter screening
- Conducting face-to-face, video, or telephone consultations
- Work from both clinics and client sites within the area
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively to support the team, organisation, and company stakeholders, ensuring smooth service delivery.
- Attend sites across different locations as directed by your line manager.
- Deliver effective, evidence-based, and competent care to clients.
- Participate in clinical supervision and staff development.
- Report, monitor, and process all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints in line with organisational policies.
- Participate in audits, make recommendations, and share outcomes for learning.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records following company policies and guidelines.
- Contribute actively to team meetings.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to the position.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Trained in immunisations and phlebotomy.
- IT literate, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Confident, motivated, and able to engage others.
- Capable of working autonomously to meet service levels.
- Experience in carrying out vaccination programmes.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Experience working within PGD/Written Instruction frameworks.
- Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule and recommendations for Healthcare Workers as per The Green Book.
- Knowledge of informed consent principles.
- Awareness of cold chain processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to drive.
- Flexible working and willing to undertake occasional travel.
