Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an exceptionally motivated and dynamic individual to join our Northern Care Alliance NHS Group occupational health team. Although primarily based at Salford the role can cover all sites including our departments at Oldham, Bury, Rochdale and community settings, therefore a car driver/owner is ideal. The NCA occupational health has obtained SEQOHS accreditation so the appointed candidates should have the drive and passion to maintain high standards of quality and service to both our Trust and external clients.


Informal visits are welcome on request and further information can be obtained by contacting Sue Oxford (0161 627 8787). The post holder will work within a team of occupational health professionals in a supporting role, providing needs based occupational health services to clients in line with good practice and current legislation.



Responsibilities


  • Work within a team of occupational health professionals in a supporting role, providing needs-based occupational health services to clients in line with good practice and current legislation.

  • Be prepared to work unsupervised at times in both the department and at company premises.

  • Be responsible for the assessment of care needs, planning, implementation and evaluation.

  • Participate in telephone reviews of new starters and give advice as deemed appropriate.

  • Maintain personal and professional development by participating in regular structured supervision sessions with a specialist OH Nurse.

  • Participate in effective utilisation of resources.

  • Assist in providing and developing a comprehensive proactive Occupational Health Service to Trust staff and income generation clients.



Qualifications and Requirements


  • We expect applicants to be positive, self-confident, friendly, inquisitive and self-disciplined.

  • The role requires drive to maintain high standards of quality and service; SEQOHS accreditation is held by the NCA.

  • The post holder will be offered the opportunity to undertake a qualification in occupational health and to develop skills in health surveillance.

  • Due to covering multiple sites, a car driver/owner is ideal.
