Qualifications

  • NMC Registration and preferably a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health.
  • Experience in Occupational Health Nursing or A&E/Intensive Care Nursing.

Job description

OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join a leading Occupational Health Provider, in a Full-Time Permanent role over 4 days (Monday – Thursday). This exciting hybrid opportunity will see you join a multidisciplinary team in Preston.

The Role:

This role offers the ideal chance for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to provide a first-class Occupational Health & Treatment Service operating to high clinical standards. Your duties will include:

  • Assess and treat employees who present to the OH Department with minor injuries and illnesses
  • Deliver immunisation clinics.
  • Undertake wellbeing assessments, health promotion, and health surveillance, including safety-critical medicals, and Drug & Alcohol testing
  • Provide travel assessments and travel health advice.
  • Provide clinical assessment, treatment, and fitness-for-work evaluations.
  • Offer professional support to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with legal and professional standards.
  • Adapt flexibly to service and professional needs.

Required Skills:
To be the successful Occupational Health Nurse candidate for this role, you'll be:

  • An NMC Registered Nurse
  • Qualified to Degree/Diploma level in Occupational Health is preferred.
  • Previously experienced in Occupational Health Nursing is preferred
  • Previously experienced in A&E or Intensive Care Nursing
  • Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, organisational, and administrative abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation
  • Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality standards.
  • Able to undertake the following shift pattern: Working 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday (With remote working on Monday & Tuesday and onsite working Wednesday and Thursday.)
