A health care organization in Horley is looking for a qualified nurse to join their Occupational Health team. The role involves conducting assessments, providing vaccinations, and maintaining clinical records. Suitable candidates must have relevant qualifications and experience in Occupational Health, along with excellent communication skills. On a daily basis support the work of theOccupational Health team and liaise with the Service Manager regarding progressand around any areas of difficulty or need.
Provide the highest standard of clinical care,ensuring that all clinical standards are met and where necessary takingappropriate corrective action.
To participate in relevant training, healtheducation and induction programmes as required.
Toensure Continuing Professional Development is achieved in line with NMC andrevalidation guidelines
Maintainaccurate, confidential clinical records in accordance with NMC standards anddata protection regulations.
Conductpre-placement assessments, vaccinations, and immunisations in line with currentlegislation and guidance.
To carry out venepuncture on clients as perpolicy and procedure based on clinical judgement
Provideexpert advice and support to managers and employees on occupational healthmatters, including fitness for work, reasonable adjustments, and return to workplans.
To assist with the development of evidence-basedpractice and organisation of the work of the department.
To participate in the development ofdepartmental and ABC Policies and procedures.
To assist with the continued development andpromotion of the service
To promote all aspects of Health, Safety andWelfare in all Occupational Health work undertaken

About our Occupational Health Service
Our Occupational Health Service is newly launched and isdesigned to prioritise employees health and wellbeing from the moment theystart work.
The service caters for both internal staff and externalclients and includes the full remit of Occupational Health practice including:
pre-employment medical screening
management referrals, interviews, and examinations
vaccinations including Tetanus / Polio / Diphtheria, Hepatitis B, andMMR
We arecurrently in a growth phase and our aim is to continue this growth by expandingour dedicated and experienced team in order to continue delivering an exceptionalservice for our staff and clients.

To work autonomously within a framework ofclinical governance and clinical supervision prioritising the delivery of carebased on a clinical assessment of individual needs.
To develop programmes of care and advise onfitness to work for staff as part of own clinical caseload.
To participate in the day-to-day delivery ofinternal and external services
To participate in advising clients on individualhealth needs directly in relation to pre-employment screening and infectioncontrol issues
To manage the referral of clients onto otherprofessional disciplines as required.
To manage and support staff following incidentsof possible exposure to blood borne viruses.Planning and implementing individual care based upon clinical judgmentand risk assessment.
To maintain clear and accurate OccupationalHealth records and assist with producing statistical returns related toclinical work undertaken.
Participate in the day-to-day delivery ofinternal and external services and contracts.
To contribute to the safety and cleanliness ofthe department and ensuring appropriate disposal of clinical waste within theworkplace in accordance with appropriate policy, procedure and guidelines.
To assist in identifying specific health needswithin groups
To participate in delivering appropriate healthpromotion needs for individuals and groups.
To respond in the event of a clinicalemergency.
To assist with the provision of statutory healthsurveillance of staff required under current legislation, reporting on generalprogress and around any cases of difficulty or need.
To advise on and perform pre-employmentscreening based on assessment of individuals health care needs and the riskfactors identified within their working environment and where necessaryreferring for further OH clinical opinion where a range of options may beavailable to address employment issues.
To assist in the production of pre-employmentstandards.
To assist in the management of the Control ofInfection issues amongst staff in line with ABC Infection Control Policies
To interpret laboratory information based uponclinical judgement with support from OHP.
To undertake individual vaccination andimmunisation programmes as directed by the department General WrittenInstructions using own clinical judgement and evidence-based practice inaccordance with national, local and department policies, conducting assessmentof individual needs and providing education and advice to ensure informedconsent.
To carry out venepuncture on clients as perpolicy and procedure based on clinical judgement and as part of a plannedindividualised implementation of care.
