Job summary

Health Partners is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our occupational health team in a hybrid role based at a client site in Derby. The role requires onsite work three days per week with two days from home, totaling a full-time schedule.

You will deliver evidence-based case management, write professional reports, and provide occupational health advice in line with policies. A postgraduate Occupational Health qualification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management services for attendance, fitness for work and other occupational health referrals.
  • Prepare professional, comprehensive written reports.
  • Advise on legislative requirements and best practice in occupational health.
  • Conduct fitness medicals and health surveillance per policies.
  • Evaluate medicals and surveillance results and communicate appropriate fitness advice.
  • Maintain valid NMC registration and comply with guidelines and CPD requirements.
  • Proficient in spirometry, audiometry, general medicals, case management, and fitness for role assessment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide expert, evidence-based case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for occupational health advice.
  • Provide professional, comprehensive and evidence-based written reports.
  • Provide expert advice in respect of legislative requirements and best practice relating to occupational health.
  • Provide fitness medicals and health surveillance where required that meet best practice requirements and in line with Health Partners’ policies and protocols.
  • Evaluate the results of medicals and surveillance provided, and ensure that the correct advice in relation to fitness is communicated, escalating where clinically appropriate.
  • Maintain valid and up-to-date registration with the NMC and comply with NMC guidelines in relation to professional issues, clinical supervision and continuous learning and development as a registered nurse.
  • Be proficient in the provision of: Spirometry, Audiometry, General Medicals, Case Management, Fitness for role assessment.
What We Are Looking For

Registered Nurse (Part 1), with a postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (Degree/Diploma).

Excellent time management skills, meticulous written skills and attention to detail, ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders and an understanding of one’s own competence and when to seek support to ensure safe practice.

Confidence with IT and a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practice of data protection and confidentiality in occupational health. Experience in delivering case management and providing occupational health advice.

Hours

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Location

This is a hybrid role based at our client’s site in Derby. You will be expected to work onsite three days a week while working the other two days at home.
