Job Description:

Based at Carlton, Barnsley or Worksop, Notts

Salary circa £40,000 per annum (or pro rata for 4 days/week)

Permanent role.

We are recruiting for an Occupational Health Advisor to provide a quality service that protects, promotes, and enhances employee health. You will work in partnership with HR & Operational teams and develop the site wellbeing programme alongside the Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage the Occupational Health Technician in delivering health surveillance and screening.
  • Provide medical advice on employees' capability and fitness for work.
  • Refer employees to physiotherapists and Employee Assistance Programmes.
  • Manage long-term absence proactively with HR and Operations.
  • Report on absence and health surveillance monthly.
  • Develop and deliver health promotional activities.
  • Attend Occupational Health team meetings, potentially across multiple sites.
  • Support the culture and values of Occupational Health.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels and with external professionals.
  • Advise on employee rehabilitation post-absence.
Requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse with Occupational Health experience in manufacturing or similar.
  • Clinical competence in diagnosis, treatment, and first aid.
  • Experience in health promotion, assessment, and rehabilitation.
  • Data collection and trend analysis skills.
