Job description

We are seeking a temporary Occupational Health Advisor to join our growing Occupational Health & Wellbeing (OH&W) Team for up to 6 months. The successful candidate will work a minimum of 3 days per week onsite, contributing to the ongoing development and delivery of an efficient, effective, and high-quality OH service.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out the full remit of an Occupational Health Advisor, including health screening, health surveillance, and case management.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across functions of HR, Safety, and the wider business, responding appropriately to give expert guidance in the field of OH.
  • Meet different challenges of projects or work streams, demonstrating excellent organisational and IT skills in response to changing business needs.
  • Work well within a team and support the development of OH technicians and the wider OH team.
  • Provide clinical advice to support the wellbeing strategy, including wellbeing initiatives and regular manager training activities.
  • Deliver wellness medicals to our Executive population and Lifestyle assessments to colleagues, offering health advice and guidance as required.
  • Lead on projects and drive service delivery improvements, delivering good case management reports and health surveillance activities.
Requirements:
  • Essential: NMC RN part 1 and wide experience in delivering occupational health services.
  • Desirable: RN part 3 - SCPHN (OH) registered.
  • Experienced in Occupational Health, including pre-placement assessments, health surveillance, case management, lifestyle screening, triage, and responding to queries.
  • Solid research-based clinical knowledge, excellent written and oral interpersonal and communication skills.
