Job summary

Pulse Healthcare seeks a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our team in East Anglia. The role covers antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and gynaecological services with opportunities to pursue specialist interests.

The post involves teaching, research, and leadership within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will have GMC registration, CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (or within 6 months), and MRCOG/FRCOG Fellowship, with a track record in managing complex cases

Qualifications

• GMC registration and licence to practise.
• CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (or within 6 months of interview).
• Postgraduate qualifications and Fellowship of a Royal College (MRCOG/FRCOG).
• Experience in managing both routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological cases.
• Commitment to teamwork, clinical leadership, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Antenatal and gynaecology outpatient clinics.
• Labour ward cover and intrapartum care.
• Theatre sessions for elective and emergency gynaecological procedures.
• Participation in on-call rota (separate for obstetrics and gynaecology).
• Involvement in teaching, audit, and service development.
• Opportunities to lead on clinical guidelines, research, and quality improvement projects.
