University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Specialty Doctor in obstetric anaesthesia and critical care. The role includes on-call duties, participation in elective and emergency theatre sessions, and involvement in audits, teaching, and research within a dynamic clinical service.

The post requires full GMC registration and FRCA or equivalent, with substantial anaesthesia training and UK experience. Flexibility and commitment to service improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration
• Primary FRCA or equivalent
• Completion of Foundation training
• ALS provider
• 4 years postgraduate training (or equivalent) with ICU and obstetric anaesthesia experience
• RCOA basic obstetric competency certificate
• Competence in general adult anaesthesia with key practice areas

Responsabilités

• Participate in the first on-call resident rotas for obstetric anaesthesia and ITU
• Participate in elective and emergency theatre lists
• Undertake pre- and post-op visits
• Engage in audits, CPD, teaching, appraisal, job planning and research
• Work flexibly as service demands require
• Fulfil clinical governance requirements
• Undertake mandatory training
