Join Our Client's Compliance Transformation Team as an Obligations Register Project Manager!

Location: London/Hybrid
Contract Length: Until 31st March 2026
Daily Rate: 750 via Umbrella Company

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for compliance and regulatory excellence? Our client, one of the largest financial institutions headquartered in Japan, is on the lookout for a highly motivated individual to lead a strategic project aimed at implementing an EMEA-wide Obligations Register. What You'll Be Doing:
As the Obligations Register Project Manager, you will:

  • Project Leadership: Spearhead the delivery of the EMEA Obligations Register project from inception to implementation in collaboration with PwC and internal stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Forge strong relationships with Compliance SMEs, Legal, Risk, and Business Units to define scope, gather requirements, and manage expectations.
  • Governance & Reporting: Establish and maintain project governance structures, producing high-quality documentation and updates for steering committees and senior management.
  • Delivery Oversight: Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Change Management: Coordinate business readiness, including training and communications, to embed the obligations register into BAU compliance processes.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure the register meets all relevant regulatory requirements across EMEA jurisdictions.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the review and validation of mapped regulatory obligations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimise processes and enhance the usability of the obligations register post-implementation.

What We Need From You:
To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A proven track record in successful project management within Compliance, Legal, or Risk functions in a global financial institution.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory obligations management and change processes.
  • Experience delivering complex, multi-jurisdictional compliance or risk projects, particularly in obligations registers or regulatory mapping.
  • Prior experience working with or managing consultancy partners, ideally PwC or Big 4.
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA financial services regulations (e.g., UK FCA/PRA, EU regulations).
  • A formal project management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with compliance technologies and regulatory intelligence tools.
