O&M Technician - Solar

£40,000 - £45,000 basic salary

Alecto Recruitment are partnering with a Commercial and Industrial Solar PV company who operate UK wide, and are now looking to appoint a Solar O&M Technician in Somerset due to continued growth.

Role Overview:

Reporting into the O&M Coordinator as part of the O&M team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing customers' assets to the highest standards, maintaining a must-repair and first-time fix mentality.

Duties as the Solar Operations and Maintenance Engineer will include:

1. Responsibility for solar plant performance, optimisation of the site, and maintaining equipment availability.
2. Pre-planned and reactive maintenance works across solar farms, including electrical maintenance, solar panel cleaning (occasionally), and supporting the HV team.
3. Effectively help to resolve work tickets and report issues back to the line manager. Compile reports of completed works.
4. Liaising with internal and external teams, including in-house LV/HV personnel, the grounds team, and external subcontractors when required.
5. Participating in the company's on-call rota for non-working hours (including Bank Holidays and weekends) with on-call allowances.

Candidate Requirements:

Experience in industrial, utility-scale, and/or rooftop solar is preferred.
