Job description

Job Title: O & M Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced O & M Project Manager to work across project development, design, delivery, and O&M functions. The role involves supporting ICP design submissions, managing contracts, and overseeing on-site delivery during network build and commissioning stages.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Manage ICP build and commissioning activities, including DNO/Grid connections and reviewing ICP build programmes.
  2. Monitor ICP activities during project build, witness site commissioning, and review as-built documentation.
  3. Ensure health and safety compliance among third-party contractors, promoting safe work practices.
  4. Manage contract documents, budgets, resourcing, risks, issues, and change control processes.
  5. Report project progress using established templates and processes.
  6. Handle land rights processes and maintain stakeholder communications.
  7. Manage operation and maintenance framework agreements for client sites.
  8. Support the development of asset management strategies.
  9. Assist with ICP design submissions and land rights for various network sizes.
  10. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and innovations.
  11. Provide technical support to procurement and project teams.
  12. Represent the client at industry technical forums.
  13. Demonstrate problem-solving skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  14. Maintain a positive, proactive attitude to build confidence within the team and stakeholders.
  15. Possess strong IT skills; familiarity with MS Project is advantageous.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of engineering experience, degree qualified or with an HND, HNC, or similar qualification.
  • Experience delivering projects up to 33kV and 132kV is desirable.
  • Proven ability to use industry-standard design software.
  • Training in industry codes and practices.
  • Experience working within ICP, IDNO, or DNO environments.
  • Experience with ICP design or review.
  • Land rights delivery experience is a plus.
  • Experience administering EPC, NEC ECC contracts is desirable.
