Job description

Role

Climate17 is working alongside a well-established UK-based asset management firm specializing in the entire project lifecycle, from origination to operations of renewable energy and power generation assets.

The company is seeking an O&M Manager to ensure contractual and statutory compliance for a portfolio of Solar PV and BESS O&M contracts. The O&M Manager will aim to maximize asset production, increase efficiency, and maintain a high safety performance level.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide O&M services to meet contractual requirements, including reactive callouts, team recruitment, training, and competency management.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure staff have the necessary tools and equipment.
  3. Monitor maintenance performance metrics and implement improvements.
  4. Develop and implement maintenance plans.
  5. Schedule resources, manage work control safely, and report on completed work.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety rules.
  7. Write and review RAMS, permits, and maintenance procedures.
  8. Manage a team of engineers daily, ensuring safety adherence.
  9. Manage relationships with suppliers and oversee equipment warranties.
  10. Work with external stakeholders such as DNOs and asset owners.
  11. Respond to emergencies, site outages, and changing circumstances.
  12. Serve as the main contact for the company's O&M services, providing updates and contractual reports within the region.
  13. Handle P&L responsibilities for managed services and contracts.
  14. Ensure accurate client invoicing and supplier payments.
  15. Assist in integrating new sites into maintenance systems.
  16. Utilize and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Requirements
  1. Qualification in electrical or electro-mechanical discipline.
  2. ECS Gold Card - Essential.
  3. Previous electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
  4. Proficient IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, troubleshooting software).
  5. Qualification for safe site work.
  6. HV authorized person – AP15/OP40.
  7. Knowledge of HV/LV power electronics (inverters, converters, transformers).
  8. Experience with BESS - preferred.
  9. HVAC training and F-Gas qualification - preferred.
  10. Understanding of IT topics like CMD, remote desktop, networking, MODBUS/TCP - preferred.
  11. C&G2391-5 Test & Inspect or equivalent - preferred.
Location

Remote with nationwide site travel as required.
