Role

Climate17 is working alongside a well-established, UK-based asset management firm that specializes in the entire project lifecycle, from origination to operations of renewable energy and power generation assets.

The company is seeking an O&M Manager to ensure contractual and statutory compliance for a portfolio of Solar PV and BESS O&M contracts. The O&M Manager will aim to maximize production, increase efficiency, and maintain high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide O&M services to meet contractual requirements, including reactive callouts, team recruitment, training, and competency management.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure staff have the necessary tools and equipment.
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Develop maintenance plans and schedules.
• Manage work control, safety, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and procedures.
• Draft and review RAMS, permits, and maintenance procedures.
• Manage a team of engineers, ensuring safety compliance.
• Handle supplier relationships and warranties.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders like DNO and asset owners.
• Respond to emergencies and outages.
• Act as the main contact for the O&M service, providing updates and reports.
• Manage P&L responsibilities for contracts.
• Ensure accurate client invoicing and supplier payments.
• Assist in onboarding new sites into maintenance systems.
• Use and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Requirements:

• Qualification in electrical or electro-mechanical disciplines.
• ECS Gold Card - Essential.
• Previous electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Good IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, troubleshooting software).
• Qualification to work safely on site.
• HV authorized person – AP15/OP40.
• Knowledge of HV/LV power electronics (inverters, converters, transformers).
• Experience with BESS - preferred.
• HVAC training and F-Gas certification - preferred.
• Understanding of IT subjects like CMD, remote desktop, networking, MODBUS/TCP protocols - preferred.
• C&G2391-5 Test & Inspect or equivalent - preferred.
